Exactly. I realize I probably can't optimize the caching, since it's out of my hands. And I don't have the time to re-structure all the code (which has been working well for many years on non-flash devices) to bypass the cache entirely. That will have to wait for the next revision.

What I'm really looking for, I guess, is advice on simple things that might help: avoiding certain routines? Flushing the cache periodically? things like that. I'll do some experimentation, I guess, and in the worst case will simply have to limit the maximum sampling rate to whatever the Palm can keep up with...

If anyone else has any advice, or even ideas of things to try, I'm all ears...in the meantime, I'll experiment.
