Thanks, that was exactly the problem. I modified my resource file to set the column widths and it works fine now. At the moment, the width values are all static in the resource file. Is there a way to set the column widths at run time instead? Of course, this gets into a whole other mess in trying to calculate the width of a string in a given font, but I can figure out that part later. I need to first know if it's even possible to set the width at run time. (Maybe I should just look at the SDK docs to see if there is a TblSetColumnWidth() function or something similar.) > did u correctly set the usability of rows and columns? columns are not usable > by default, as i remember. Yes, I set the columns as usable. Sorry, I forgot to show that part in my code above. As far as I know, the rows are usable by default. > for testfield column, u need 'load' callback to draw text in the field, u may > also want to check that. Yah, that's the next step. For now I am trying to just make a blank table even if it isn't all that useful. > > good luck Thanks for your comments.
