Heres the deal. I have an SMS application that needs to search the Address Book for the senders number. If the senders number is in the address book (given the setting to force this action is on) then it will allow the SMS to go to the default SMS application. If its not in the address book, then it blocks it and adds it to a database that the user can then view from inside my application. My problem is I have spent two days trying to get this to work on my 650. I have used code that I know is right, but will not work in any way on my device. I tested it on a 600 and it worked fine. Before I move past this problem, I would like help testing it on other 650s so I can be sure that it is simply a problem with my device, and not the code that is causing the problem. If you would like to help me out I will send you the .prc. The prc will be set up to call the function (that is called when a SMS is received) in app start. The number it will seach for will be hard coded. All you will need to do is add a contact to your Address Book with the same number as the hard coded number I am searching for in the test prc. Then you open the app and it will tell you the name of the contact you added, or if its not found (shouldnt happen!).
