Im looking for some insight to a situation. Im trying to make a Firewall that will control which apps can and cant use the internet on a device, letting the user build a list of allowed and blocked apps. Ive found that making a VPN will probabaly give me the control I need. But this will be a much larger project then is needed, and it will force the user to have a VPN server to log into. My main questions are, can I simulate a VPN, without really loggin into a VPN server? Can I use this to control what apps can and cant use the internet with the "fake" VPN client. And, where can I find good documentation on the API used to make a VPN client, or any docs that will help me in my project? Any help would be appretiated.
