I guess that the databases are relocateable ( code is also in databases ). With that PalmOS can move the code within the memory range without using virtual memory. This is also one of the reasons why PalmOS is so reasonable with memory consumption ( I have a Tungsten C with 64 MB, which is hard to fill with "normal" PalmOS programs ( all programs I wrote are about 50-60KB, with resources ;-). Try this on a PocketPC.
