Hi Palm People,

As a PalmOS developer newbie - I have an application built with the PalmOS SDK materials and am curious to hear what is the preferred configuration of tools to debug apps.

The choice to be on a Mac or PC is not an issue as I use/have both. However, I don't have CodeWarrior 9 - and it's not a sure thing Metrowerks is going to be selling any more Palm support materials, anyway.

So, my question is, "What is the good (non-CW) simulator/emulator debug-setup used by people who have gotten to the point they know what they're doing?"

Thanks!

I normally use both the emulator and simulator with the Palm OS debugger and sometime gdb in command line. PODS debugger doesn't work for me, it used to in the alpha version but it stopped working since it became a released version using a palm developed debugger. gdb usually can give you better tracking of your data but is not as user friendly as Palm OS debugger also you should use the emulator anytime you are not looking at something OS 5 specific. This is because it is more stable and easier to debug as it is more full featured.
Best regards
Benoit
