I'm currently using a Zire 21, however my application will also need to run on
higher end handhelds. I have designed some graphical buttons that when tested
on the Simulator, look terrible. Essently they are not crisp. I have developed
these images in Photoshop and saved them as BITMAPS. I must be something
incorrectly, they look too choppy, in fact the images look better on the Zire
21 in greyscale then on the Palm Simulator. The images are roughly (25x25).

Anywho, here's what I wrote.

BITMAPCOLOR16K ID IMG_LEFTARROW_S "leftarrow_select.bmp" COMPRESS TRANSPARENT
255 255 255 DENSITY 144

BITMAPCOLOR16K ID IMG_RIGHTARROW_S "rightarrow_select.bmp" COMPRESS TRANSPARENT
255 255 255 DENSITY 144

BITMAPCOLOR16K ID IMG_QUESTION "question.bmp" COMPRESS TRANSPARENT 255 255 255
DENSITY 144

BITMAPCOLOR16K ID IMG_QUESTION_S "question_s.bmp" COMPRESS TRANSPARENT 255 255
255 DENSITY 144

I'm sure i'm missing something, these images just look poor on the
simulator(running at 320x480 144dpi at a color depth of 24bit). Is there a way
of having the image larger, for example. i create the bitmap as 100x100 pixels
, then resize it on the palm? Will this lead to crisper images?

Best,
Omar
