Hello all. I know that most of you have answered these kind of questions like a million times, but as my research indicates, you are my best bet so please bear with me.
About me: I'm in the industry for the last five years, wrote few VB applications in the past (including eVB for PPC). I have also developed a Palm based application with AppForge (prior to when Crossfire came to market) and Sybase. During the past five years I mainly wrote ASP-based websites with JScript as scripting language to get (kind of) familiar with the C/C++ syntax, I have never written a C/C++ project (just simple silly stuff). Basically, I need your guidance as to what is the best SDK to work with for Palm development, and where can I find tutorials or sample code? I looked around and found nothing (tutorials). I tried to work with the "Palm OS Developer Suite" but I have no idea how to start a project. What kind of file should I create and so on? I could not find a tutorial that gives clear directions. Also, is Metrowerks-CodeWarrior in the market or they have left? Should I count on third party SDK or go with the original/source (Palm OS Developer Suite)? About my application: it is fairly simple and straightforward; the only major problem is the large DB (almost 30Mb) as well as the need for dynamic queries and relationship between tables. Well, I guess you are going to see me here more often so it's nice to meet you all. :-) Thanks in advance, Eddie. BTW: I have found this helpful message that gave me many clues but due to the date ... I have no idea how accurate or relevant the info is: http://news.palmos.com/read/messages?id=185568 -- For information on using the PalmSource Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
