Hi Regis,

what the Pocket Studio site say is right almost in the 80% of the cases.

This is of course true until you write easy code, but when you have to write some complex routine you need to take the Palm API and translate into Pascal, or worst if you need to understand how a "simple" Palm API function run, you need to read the API manual and traslate into Pascal.

Of course this process is a very time consuming, for this reason we are moving into the C/C++ field. Our assumption is: If I need to read the manual in C/C++ and translate in Pascal, it's better to work directly in C/C++!

As said in my previous messages, our problem is understant what suite are better (CodeWarrior or Palm OS DS?).

If we consider only the suite environments, Pocket Studio is a completely another world. It's better than Code Warrior or Palm OS DS, in near all the aspects, but it works in Pascal, and this is (for us) an incredible handicap due to the time needed to create something complex as we need to realize.

Best greetings,
Piero Pirrone

On winsoft Pocket Studio web site, they say:

PocketStudio Library
make development easier by 'wrapping' the PalmOS API calls with easy-to-use,
understandable code

This does not fit with what you are saying.
