deleting a program currenty on the palm

I would like to run my program from the sd card, and I've noticed that if 
the program is running and the sdcard is taken out, the program is copied 
onto the main system memory. I can live with that, however I would like to 
be able to detect and delete the program from the main system memory when 
the program starts up.

Is there a way to do this?
