if memory serves me correct; every device since the Palm Professional.
the Palm Personal ran PalmOS 2.0 - but, didn't have a network library
and this was how you differentiated between the two.

early palm devices could do TCP/IP to a mobile phone over infared.
if you are looking for more modern networking systems - the irDA
standard still exists; and, co-incides with BlueTooth.

some devices - even have 802.11b wireless components to get
connected directly to the network.

i remember connecting my Palm III to my Ericsson 888 back in 1999
to do telnet shells to my unix account to read my emails :)
