there is software out there that could let you do TCP/IP over the
cradle - yes. maybe the question should not have been to specifically
ask "which devices support network connections" - but, really it
should have been:

"which devices support it without additional hardware or software"

if palm put NetLib.lib on the original zire - thats another question.
can anyone verify this?

the main point is that nearly every palm device can get a TCP/IP
connection using a number of means via hardware and/or software.
whats feasible for the user? thats up to them.

when we write networked based applications - we leave it up
to the user to decide the best way to get online. offering 802.11b
devices is the obvious "easy way" - but, some techno geeks like
to hook up their phones via GPRS or even basic data line calls
to get online..

i remember it was so cool when i used to walk around having
icq on my palm m505 connected to an ericsson phone with GPRS
over irDA. i looked stupid walking around that like - but it worked!
these days, BT makes it less "geeky" :)
