Hi, i just started Palm dev today and read A LOT of stuff on the SDK so much that i aint sure where im at now. I havent programmed C in a long time too so please be very explicative in your anwsers.
My question is, do i have to allocate any structure or variable i have made with the memory manager? For instance, if i made some kind of struct to keep all my prefs, can i just declare and define it like any program in C would or do i have to use the MemMgr to declare my variables. I see a lot of scripts on the net that don't seem to use the memory manager at all except to lock or unlock memory objects that come out of the database... So can anyone give me a quick easily understandable anwser about what, when, where and why i should use the MemMgr cause the SDK is so highly technical that my head hurts after so much reading and i dont understand much at all. -- For information on using the PalmSource Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
