I believe you can create one with the "par" utility. The manual
page says:
The following example creates a stream database that can be
accessed using the PalmOS FileStream API. The stream will
contain the contents of the file 'WarAndPeace.txt':
par c -a "stream" book.pdb Book DATA djwS WarAndPeace.txt
Par is available at http://www.djw.org/product/palm/par/ .
what's the special typeID ?
I don't think it's a special type code. Instead, it's a flag just
like the flag that indicates a database is a resource (rather than
a record) database.
