I've been reading up on unique record IDs and have a few questions --
-- I got several hits saying that

know about unique IDs, but the link is dead -- can someone point me to
the article?
-- I understand that that within a database, each record ID is
preserved during Hotsyncs, etc., but if the database is beamed or
otherwise transferred to another Palm device that has a different
database on it but some of the record IDs are the same, are the IDs in
either database modified? I'm assuming 'no' but need to be certain.
I guess my question in general is are the record IDs *ever* modified?
-- Lastly, if the database is transferred to another deviced and both
devices add a new record to the database using DmNewRecord, will the
ID for the new record be the same on each device?
