Hello. There is some bugs in Palm resource editor and it's not trivial to use these triggers. So I imlemented it in such a way:
Delete all triggers and lists from form. Put trigger onto the form. Leave its ID without change. It's important, because it discards List ID when his ID changed. Next, put list onto the form, also leave its ID. Clear its Usable property, set number of items (e.g. 5), set these values, set number of visible items to value >2 (e.g. 3). Set List ID property at trigger. Click Your mouse on another property to ensure that your setting of list ID is not discarded. It worked on my machine.
