If you permit an advertising, try SuperWaba. You can try the GPL free version. SW
applications performance on Palm OS ARM devices is even better than in Pocket PC! In most
situations.
And you'll be able to run on Symbian too.
If you want to create data-entry applications, SW is unbeatable. For intensive graphics
and games, then i recommend you C.
