Hello all,

we have problems to connect our embedded device via IrDA to a PALM. In 2004 we
developed a system with an IrDA Interface to be configured with a PALM-OS
application. Up to now, we got the MCP2155 with datecode 01 (REV. A) and the
system works fine. Since last weeks, we got the MCP2155 with the date- code 05
(REV. C) and it is not possible, to connect to our PALM application any more.

When the connection starts, the MCP's DSR-Pin says that the link is ok and we
transmit one telegram from PALM to our device. After this our device starts to
answer but the DSR pin goes high and the communication stops. We tried with
PALM zire31 and Tungsten E2.

In the erratasheet are no hints, what the differences between Rev. A and C are.
So can anyone tell me if there are defferences and which?

Is it possible, that there is a difference in operating the handshake singnals
ore in the timing doing so ?

Regards
