I will apologize in advanced for the flame/rant. "Borszczuk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Topposting? Then tell him/her in a private email, and don't fill up the newsgroup with waste. > Relative newbie to the net? Kinda explains why you not see much > problems with the above ;) (or rather ;( as for KF -> > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kill_file Excuse me, I am not a "newbie to the net," thank you very much. Did you fail to read my response after that? Just because I do not know what KF means doesn't give you the right to call me a noob (yes, I do use some "slang" or acronyms, but English Slang (or acronyms for that fact) is not my native language, and not everybody should be ridiculed for failing to know what an acronym such as KF or IMHO or even LOL means). Also, how are people supposed to know if they are doing something wrong if you don't tell them? It is like if I were to walk up to you (you being a random person) and call you a provocative name and then walk away. You would have no idea what provoked that. Like I have told you, Borszczuk, in the past. What you are doing is also bad netiquette. You are filling useful topics with useless posts that readers must sort through. Like I told you in the past, if you don't like how a reader/poster is doing things, do not post a reply on this newsgroup (or any for that fact), contact them in private email. I apologize for being so harsh (and yes, I am not sending this as a private email because it needs to be known to everybody else). I am not trying to gang up on you, but I feel that about 80% of the posts that you have made on this newsgroup have been either mean or full of snide remarks. This forum is supposed to be a productive environment where ANYBODY (yes, even those who have ignorance to even the most basic of "netiquette") should be able to receive an equal chance at help, not a counter-productive environment. > If you dont like my questions, please dont open my > queries even it has with suitable subjects. > Ok? you first try to understand how can help others or > how should be bahave as a professional Ok? > I have been trying to get some helps from this forum, > so continuosly doing reply or forward or duplicate > mails.... if you dont like to see that, why should you > open it unnessarily(you will find to get same answer > what Im trying now..when one day you will come to this > same question) ? > > Please dont open or answer or reply unnessarily and > avoiding others to help me. > we hate you kind of guys staying still in this palm > dev forums....not being a professional.... > > cathy. Just to restate, Cathy, it is advised that you use the "New Post" button for new threads (since using the "Reply" button to start a new thread could cause problems on older news servers, but the Lyris List Manager can handle misintentions much better than an old news server from, oh say 1998 (yes Borszczuk, I have been using the net since at least 1998, newsgroups for at least 3 years, Google my name or search the archives)). To the Palm-Dev-Forum community: I apologize (once again) for the flame, but I do feel that it was necessary to some extent. Back to the real topic: Cathy, I hope that my advice was able to help you. Unfortunately I don't think there is a way of knowing if an application was sublaunched with a non-normal launch code unless you trap all calls to SysAppLaunch and SysUIAppSwitch and handle them yourself. Ben Combee would probably know more about it, Ben?
