I'm finalising the deployment of Palm OS app we've developed and I
was hoping someone could clear up a couple of questions for me.
Is there any way (registry, method calls in the com objects) of
getting the directory that the hotsync manager was installed to?
Because our conduits are written in .NET, they need to reside in
the same directory for the Hotsync manager to find them.
\\HKey_Current_User\\Software\\U.S. Robotics\\Palm Desktop\\Core and
the Path value.
Secondly, the installer of the application registers the conduit
during installation. During installation, I'm getting an error
message of "Module ComStandard.dll failed to register. HRESULT
-2147024770. Contact your support personnel."
With Exit, Try Again and Continue as options.
Clicking Continue installs the conduit perfectly (I'm currently
hardcoding the hotsync directory) so it doesnt appear to be causing
any problems, its just a little inexplicable. Does anyone have a
remedy to make the bad message go away?
I have make some search on Google and see this is a commun Window
error message. Have you test the conduit on an other machine ?
