It´s exactly what we do
our FTP programa is called by the application and if there is a new version,
of the application (or FTP it self) the new version was downloaded.

Sure. Of course PalmOS has no FTP functionality, so you will have to use
3rd party code or do your own simple ftp client.
If there are any new updates for that app, download the NEW app, install
it onto the palm and then delete the old one off the palm?
