Thanks Ben.  That's a good reference.  Tip #3 (auto-scrolling a table)
applies to my application.  If I knew when a backspace was system
generated, I could save my users a keystroke when fixing spelling
errors.  Maybe in future versions, a modifier bit could denote system
generated backspaces?
