Yes, FldDelete will send an event, and you will exhause the queue  You
should use FldGetTextHandle / edit the memory / FldSetTextHandle to
adjust the fields instead.

As a thanks for your help I've attached a beta of my Sudoku app
which will overflow the event que if you've completed a puzzle
and click on the clear button, that forces the device to reset.
