something I am missing, as I can't figure out how to emulate the old
shortcut behavior?
Get the "DotDotTwo" program from PalmSource's KB. It's an easy way to
enter console mode on the device. Obviously, this was written before
keyboard-based devices were common or even before Graffiti 2 was
around much. You can also enter Alt-S, pick the shortcut symbol, then
enter '.', '2'.
