I just noticed that PalmSource is giving a day-long developers conference
in San Francisco on Aug 16. The focus is on the new (yet to be released)
ACCESS Linux Platform (ALP). It's part of the LinuxWorld conference but
you can register seperately for the PalmSource Developer Day for $95:

I understand that the July PalmSource Developer Newsletter will be coming
out very soon with more information but since this is only a little over 3 weeks
away I thought people who wanted to attend should have as much advance
notice as possible so they can make reservations.
even three weeks notice isn't enough. its summer time here in europe and
everyone goes on vacation ;) i myself will be on some deserted island with
no internet connection on august 16 :)
the real question is when will palmsource be bringing back the developer
conferences of the past? we unfortunately didn't get the oktoberfest hattrick
and the last developer event was in early 2005 in san jose.
regardless of what they are working on (ALP); its been a seriously negative
impact to drop the conferences - which were always a great networking and
place to meet up with fellow developers.
