Typically this would mean applications that access the OS through
the documented API, and don't do anything the documentation says
is a bad idea, or not guaranteed to work in future OS releases.

I expect that if you had to "break the rules" a little to get
your application to work on Garnet 5.x, you may have to rewrite
some of it to get it to work under ALP.  (Or if you're lucky,
maybe it will work without modifications.)

If your app's functionality revolves around twiddling some
undocumented part of the OS that you discovered through
reverse engineering, then you may be SOL. You should not
be surprised by this.

They're being very reasonable.  There is simply no way that they
can promise any application that works on Garnet (including those
that "shouldn't") will continue to work running under ALP.
