1) I assume that I need to use VFS to read non native voluminous data
to the Palm? At least that seems to be the only method I can see :D
Likely. VFS has lots of space for you to play with usually :)
2) For 3d it appears I need to implement everything on my own? There
appears to be no OpenGL support what-so-ever. Is there something apart
from writting a complete OpenGL library to support the OpenGL API on
the PalmOS? The miniGL doesn't seem to be of the ilk of support for my
intents (1.3 is the minimum I really need although 1.2 might suffice).
I have a fuly working port of Vincent, a full-featured implementation of OpenGL ES. But it's too slow in its current state it seems.
4) Am I better off ignoring most of the PalmOS API layer and attempt to
access Linux lurking beneath?
Currently you have Palm OS, no Linux or anything beneath. Palm OS *is* an OS.
