Thankyou for your answers... yes, the problem was because multigen was not being called by the makefile. I have a "Managed Make" project and for whatever reason it was not picking up the Segments.def file. I changed some of the parameters, and eventually it gave me errors, so I move them back to the default setting and it started working.
