This seems kind of a strange reaction to not getting an answer to the question you were asking, which was on the order of "Why does Palm do things in a certain way?" You actually did get two responses, with what I thought were fairly high-quality answers to this kind of question. I'd be surprised if Windows Mobile forums were much better at answering that kind of question.
