Thanks Roger,

The book is on the way.

I've made numerous attempts to get in touch with ACCESS via email, mail, phone to no avail.

The problem I have is: how does one program for the latest devices such as the TX. the CW9.3 produces greate code but the older devices. It still works on the TX but very quirky and crashes a lot. The UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT/SELECT buttons no longer work and I would certainly would love to make use of the new screen formats like land scape and such. So there is a lot on the table and very little time to much around in a chat room where the information is not forthcomming in an organized way. and of course I'm not too intelligent when it comes to asking a simple question so it makes matters worst. then there is also the confusing issue of what is the current version of the OS we should be working with, i'm currently playing wiht the PODS which includes the cobalt /os6.0 platform which every body now tells it never was release but that is what the PODS is working with.

Thanks again for the info...

Thanks Don,

Luckily I'm beyond that, I've been supporting our app now for about six
months and can work somewhat with the CW compiler but just follow what is
there. As I stated somewhere else, we have tried for several months to get
help from both Metrowerks (no longer in existence) and Palm to no avail. All
we wanted to know was where to get some trainer led classes.

Getting the book is a very, very good start and you were given a great lead.

Plus make sure you are using CW 9.3, which comes with Constructor, which you'll probably find easier to use than pilRC, and certainly for doing graphics.

Contact PalmSource/Access for details on the next training class, because they are the people who actually put them on. But I don't know if they have one scheduled, but if there's enough interest they are likely to schedule one.
