If you download the Palm OS Developer Suite from PalmSource it includes a full Eclipse-based development environment. I've used it to generate PRC's quite successfully (it's using the GCC-based PRC tools). There's a bit of learning curve there, but it's the only environment that has any support these days (thanks to it being mostly open-source tools).

I have been happily using Code Warrior for Palm for a couple of years now and decided to have a look at Eclipse to see if it could do a better job but don't understand if it even does the same thing thing.

I downloaded the free installation and found it looks like a complete mess and would take months just to understand how it works.

I presume that the whole purpose of such a steep learning curve would be to produce a PRC file which would work in a Palm device but it appears to produce nothing of use.

I even tried importing a CW project but producing something useful seems impossibly difficult. I really dont understand what Eclipse is supposed to do. Guess Its best to stick to good old CW.

Has anyone actually managed to generate a PRC application for Palm with Eclipse?
