It does work.
Not intending to put a fly in the ointment, but, the docs for WinSaveBit says:
This function tries to copy the window's bitmap using compressed format if possible. It may display a fatal error message if an error occurs when it tries to shrink the pointer for the compressed bits.
Is this only going to happen when there's no memory left, and you'll likely get a fatal error of some kind no matter what you do?
