Hi Guys I have notice in a number of posting that other members have been struggling to create a "New Contact" from there application.
In the Phone application there is a option "New Contact", in the Call Log application there is a button "Add contact", I am certain these applications dont have all the code from the Contacts app. duplicated in these apps. to create a contact. In this thread http://developers.palm.com/pe/forums/displaypost.jsp?postID=10138570 other members are discussing how to do this. In this thread http://developers.palm.com/pe/forums/displaypost.jsp?postID=10138329 again members including Gavin Maxwell - who is not only a Aussie like myself but a Certified Trainer have been giving other tips/help on how this can be achieved. I have taken the code from both these post & no joy, as mentioned it does not crash the code just does nothing. My understanding is we should be using helpers to do this not re-code the creation of contact. In the file http://user.chollian.net/~mines/palmone.pdf there is an example of using helpers to create a contact on page 47. None of these work & after email & ringing (calling) a number of people everyone tells me the same thing - they cannot get it to work. So I have a simple question, does anyone have any code that can create a contact via a helper call ?
