Checked again today, with removed libarchive.so.2. Still fails the same
way.
Have tested it with all those libarchive-3.0.3 use flags: "-acl
-xattr", "acl -xattr" or "acl xattr".
Any idea how to debug this problem?

Gentoo started doing perversed libs on libarchive, so there's a chance
Paludis might've ended up linking to the wrong version. I would
assume you reinstalled Paludis after upgrading libarchive. Please
post output of "ldd /usr/lib64/libpaludistarextras_0.70.so".
