Just a small question. By dropping support for gcc 3.4, you are refering to the building of paludis itself. In the case of specific programs like qemu or kqemu that requires the use of 3.4 we will still be able to run gcc-config just prior to running the install of that specific package. IE your dropping of 3.4 support only affects the building of paludis itself and not other packages that still depend on 3.4 to build correctly.
