Not even just that. The meaning of all those emerge options have changed countless times. For a simple example what is now --reinstall changed-use used to be --newuse. What is now --newuse has no paludis equivalent because it is stupid. Examples involving --update and/or --deep get much more complex.. -- Bo Andresen
