i'm trying to accomplish the equivalent of adding
"media-fonts/ttf-bitstream-vera-1.10-r3" to
"/etc/portage/profile/package.provided", per
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Xorg_and_Fonts#Emerging_the_Necessary_Packages
As far as i understand, after creating an "installed_unpackaged" repository,
i should submit a:
importare ---location /var/empty -D "Bitstream Vera font family"
media-fonts/ttf-bitstream-vera
1. Do i really need to specify the version-release numbers? That seems
restrictive.
2. Should i specify deps options (-B, -R) too, to be thorough? Because if
so, i'm unsure as how to go about it:
No (R)DEPEND in ttf-bitstream-vera-1.10-r3.ebuild, but an "inherit
gnome.orgfont";
No (R)DEPEND in "gnome.org.eclass", nor any "inherit", so, end of trail on
this one;
DEPEND="X? ( x11-apps/mkfontdir
media-fonts/encodings )
media-libs/fontconfig"
in "font.eclass", plus a "inherit eutils" in there. And so on.
So, in the end, what should the complete "importare" command be?
