Excuse the partial top-post - i've just subscribed specifically to ask about this very subject, and felt an intro was in order, plus an explanation of why this reply isn't threaded...

I'm writing to this list for the first time expressly because i find myself in need of build-logs for an ostensibly successful build, and couldn't ascertain whether or not paludis could be configured to output them. My thus-far-unanswered query on the subject at the Gentoo forums is here:- http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-5485643.html#5485643 Assuming such behaviour isn't yet available, as a default _OR_ an option, i'd plump for option-3 as it seems to me that it would be easier to delete retained logs that weren't needed than it would be to recover deleted logs that were. If it _IS_ currently possible to output logs through configuration, could i be so impertinent as to ask how - at the risk of going OT..? (I'll be trying a re-install with shell-output redirection, subject to an authoritative reply on the subject) Thanks, and apologies for the inconsistency i'm introducing to the list, taipan _______________________________________________ paludis-user mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pioto.org/mailman/listinfo/paludis-user
