Ordinarily, Paludis would set permissions automatically. But Paludis doesn't overwrite config protected things in /etc, so either you installed an older sudo version earlier using an ebuild or build system that didn't set those permissions, or you changed them yourself at some point. -- Ciaran McCreesh
