I can't find any such setting: "grep -ir home /etc/paludis/*" returns nothing, nor does a similar search for "null". Nor is there any mention of "home" in the output of "paludis --info". Ah, i see a "reduced_uid->dir: /dev/null" there, whereas i see someone else's with /var/tmp/portage (at http://lists.pioto.org/pipermail/paludis-user/2009-January/000812.html). The output of "paludis --info gnome-base/libglade" is now added to the Gentoo bug report.
How do i adjust this? I installed paludis on 2007-05-26, i vaguely recall it being version 0.24 or such.
