Actually my intention was to get an idea about how to make
xcb-rebuilder work with paludis.
I got scared when I read a message saying "install portage utils". But
apparently they work with paludis:
http://paludis-extras.org/portage-utils.xml
I've read the script
/usr/portage/x11-libs/libxcb/files/xcb-rebuilder.sh and emerge is not
used, so I ran it, and everything is compiling without a problem so
far (I still got like 30 packages left).
So now the questions are:
- How to achieve the same functionality as "emerge --oneshot" in paludis?
- How to do "revdep-rebuild -L libxcb-xlib.so.0" but with reconcilio?
Once I know how to do that I can also write to the maintainer of the
"libxcb 1.4 Upgrade Guide" to suggest him to include instructions for
paludis as well (assuming that's necessary for other person besides
me).
Thanks,
Damian.
