A small number of malcontents will throw a hissy fit whenever anything related to Paludis or anyone who works on it is mentioned. Parts of Gentoo have a rather poisonous attitude towards any kind of change or innovation. It's best to just carry on and hope that you're dealing with the sane majority. As for the fix, reconcilio (like revdep-rebuild) doesn't always get the order right for rebuilding fixed packages, since ebuild deps aren't expressive enough to guarantee the right answer. So you might end up having to use reconcilio to get the list of broken things, but then have to work out the reinstall order yourself. -- Ciaran McCreesh
