Well, yes, the newer pan only seems to run on XP SP2 and only a few
versions at that. I have checked around ten and its not worked on any, but
they do have to run at quite high resolutions, and I have just used the
ready rolled versions.

I dont use XP on any of my own windows computers, I find win 2k better so
will not be changing, I do have an XP box that I have to use for
compatibility checking, but that has problems running at any speed the
stuff I have to use everyday.

I have thought that for quite a few years Pan had become a non windows
product, I have known it cant run on 2k and this sort of proves it, I dont
find that a problem, I just wanted to use the same reader on all of the
OS's I use.

I have been very happy with my own very hacked and re-built version for a
few years now and am glad to see the main stream one starting to get there
as well, but this is, I suppose where we have to part.
