Keep everything on a shared drive and use symbolic links to the appropriate files on each machine? You may have to set up a VPN unless you work from home.

I do something similar with Firefox for my emails. Things do get a bit flaky if you have two copies running on different machines though...

What about some sort of "centralized" data store for all of pan's
settings?  It would certainly require an additional server process to
manage itself, and I could see how performance might "inhale briskly", but
it sure would be handy...
