I have a lot of installation problems with the message files (never had that before). Here is part of my install output (from within the pkgsrc framework). This is on NetBSD/amd64 3.0. radl:/vol1/rhialto/cvs/pkgsrc/news/pan-devel$ sudo make package => Required installed package digest>=20010302: digest-20060826 found ===> check-vulnerable [pan-0.122] ===> Checking for vulnerabilities in pan-0.122 => Checksum SHA1 OK for pan-0.122.tar.bz2 => Checksum RMD160 OK for pan-0.122.tar.bz2 ===> install-message [pan-0.122] ===> Installing for pan-0.122 Making install in po /usr/bin/install -d /usr/pkg/share/locale if test -n ""; then linguas=""; else linguas="am ar az bg ca cs da de el en_C A en_GB es et fi fr ga gl hr hu it ja ko lt lv ms nb nl pl pt pt_BR ro ru sk sl sq sr [EMAIL PROTECTED] sv tr uk vi zh_CN zh_TW"; fi; for lang in $linguas; do dir=/usr /pkg/share/locale/$lang/LC_MESSAGES; /usr/bin/install -d $dir; if test -r $lan g.gmo; then /usr/bin/install -c -o root -g wheel -m 444 $lang.gmo $dir/pan.mo; echo "installing $lang.gmo as $dir/pan.mo"; else /usr/bin/install -c -o root -g wheel -m 444 ./$lang.gmo $dir/pan.mo; echo "installing ./$lang.gmo as" "$di r/pan.mo"; fi; if test -r $lang.gmo.m; then /usr/bin/install -c -o root -g wh eel -m 444 $lang.gmo.m $dir/pan.mo.m; echo "installing $lang.gmo.m as $dir/pan. mo.m"; else if test -r ./$lang.gmo.m ; then /usr/bin/install -c -o root -g wh eel -m 444 ./$lang.gmo.m $dir/pan.mo.m; echo "installing ./$lang.gmo.m as" "$ dir/pan.mo.m"; else true; fi; fi; done install: ./am.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./am.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/am/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./ar.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./ar.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/ar/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./az.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./az.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/az/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./bg.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./bg.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/bg/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./ca.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./ca.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/ca/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./cs.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./cs.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/cs/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./da.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./da.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/da/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./de.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./de.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./el.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./el.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/el/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./en_CA.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./en_CA.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/en_CA/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./en_GB.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./en_GB.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/en_GB/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./es.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./es.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/es/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./et.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./et.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/et/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./fi.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./fi.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/fi/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./fr.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./fr.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./ga.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./ga.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/ga/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./gl.gmo: stat: No such file or directory installing ./gl.gmo as /usr/pkg/share/locale/gl/LC_MESSAGES/pan.mo install: ./hr.gmo: stat: No such file or directory and so on with a bunch more, and then later more errors from pkgsrc since all these files were promised to be installed but weren't. Something changed apparently. I do notice that /usr/bin/make is called, which is of course Berkeley make. Pan always compiled this way, but maybe in the latest version something was introduced that isn't Berkeley Make compatible. -Olaf. -- ___ Olaf 'Rhialto' Seibert -- You author it, and I'll reader it. \X/ rhialto/at/xs4all.nl -- Cetero censeo "authored" delendum esse. _______________________________________________ Pan-users mailing list Pan-users@nongnu.org http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/pan-users
