In certain circumstances, the hint printed on the broadcast field
background can stay even if the entry is focused and used to type a
message.
To reproduce:
1. open the menu, notice the "Post to: ..." hint in the broadcast field
2. hover over the menu up to the "About me" entry
3. hover back and select the broadcast field
Error: the hint stays in the field and what the user types is just added at the
end of the "Post to: ..." text
Expected: the hint should be hidden and the user able to type a new message in
an empty text entry
