Does anyone know if the volumne slider (whatever the widget is) is capable of remembering its own position, or will this have to be written to a settings file somewhere?

Move the slider to the right some distance then close and reopen the app. The slider will be back at zero. What should happen is the slider is set to half way on first startup, and then remembers its previous setting at each subsequent startup.
