Hey there, If you're looking for a mentor, I would suggest contacting the Ubuntu Motu team either on their mailing list<https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-motu> or on #ubuntu-motu on Freenode IRC. They'll be able to help you out with the all the processes that are involved in fixing bugs in Ubuntu. If you ever have any other questions, then please don't hesitate to ask them either to us or them.
