Well, that is highly dependent on the bug itself. Each bug is a unique snowflake ;-) I would recommend starting with a bug that affects you, personally. Think of something unpleasant that happened to you while using Ubuntu. Then try to figure out what program caused that issue, then look at the source code for that program, then identify where in the source code was responsible for the bug. Then fix it. > Also, I am confused with the states of the bug. For example, Can I pick some > Triaged bug and work on fix or Should I only take the bugs in New state. "Triaged" just means "there should be enough information on this bug report to know how to solve the problem, somebody just needs to do it," whereas "New" and "Confirmed" both just mean "this was reported but nobody's looked at it yet, so nobody knows if there is even enough information to fix it yet, or if it's even a bug at all" _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~papercuts-ninja Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~papercuts-ninja More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
