By build I don't mean in the process of construction but a photo of the
model as built from the kit with no modification. I used a manufacturer
term where a build pic is a pic of the actual device, be it a tool or
locomotive, or automobile, for sale and not of the prototype or other
version of it.
Also many people do not use "forums" being that they are divisive and
damage the very community they claim to serve. For them it is as if the
"forum" does not exist so any information there is effectively non
existent and useless. If the info or pics are not on the main site,
consider them wasted. They will not help drive sales and the lack of
real info in the main area may well hurt sales.

Thai Paperwork is an excellent illustration of my point. (not singled
out except for their very high presence on the site and not a reflection
on their quality) On the site virtually every one of their models uses
either art or a pic of the prototype real item and not of the finished,
unmodified model. We have all encountered models which bear little
resemblance to the item they purport to be or are so crude they remind
you of the punchout books you had as a child. How can one make a good
purchase decision when there is no image of the actual item to work from?
Also many have nice historical info but lack even a hint of info on the
model. Things like size, special details and features are very useful to
know. I can research the actual item but there is no way I can find out
details on the model unless it is provided by the maker or dealer. While
i really like the historical information and would like it to be kept, I
need the details on the actual model. All that needs is a few lines
attached to the bottom or top of the description and does not need any
recoding to implement.

                                                                cat
